Sandiaga Launches 3B Tour Package Connecting Banyuwangi, West Bali, and North Bali

Banyuwangi – Indonesia’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, has officially launched the 3B tour package, which connects tourist destinations across Banyuwangi, West Bali, and North Bali. The launch was witnessed by Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB), Abdullah Azwar Anas.

The tour package is expected to significantly boost tourism in all three regions and is also seen as part of the government’s effort to redistribute tourism traffic from the overcrowded South Bali to North and West Bali, as well as to Banyuwangi.

“This tour package is available for booking starting tonight, just in time for the year-end and Chinese New Year holidays,” said Sandiaga Uno during a doorstop interview following the 3B package launch on Friday, September 20, 2024.

The 3B tour package is available for booking at prices ranging from IDR 350,000 to IDR 700,000 per package. Sandiaga added that the package was carefully designed to accommodate a wide range of tourists, from the luxury segment to mid-range and budget travelers. Luxury tourists can enjoy yacht services from Marina Boom; mid-range travelers can opt for high-speed rail; and budget travelers can take ferries.

“We’ve coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation. Minister Azwar Anas has also recommended ease of access for tourists arriving via charter flights that land directly in Banyuwangi, with infrastructure ready at Marina Boom and other transportation modes,” said Sandiaga on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Of the total 7 million tourist arrivals to Bali, the 3B package is expected to attract around 10–15%, or approximately 700,000 to 1 million tourists.

“Our initial target was 20%, but due to aircraft limitations, we’re moderating it to 10–15%. Still, that’s already a lot — nearly a million tourists entering West and North Bali through Banyuwangi,” he emphasized.

The tour package offers seamless infrastructure and a combination of natural beauty and cultural village experiences at each destination, promising a rich experience that blends scenic views with local traditions.

In North Bali, tourists will enjoy visits to Tembok Village, Les Village, Lovina Beach, and Pemuteran Beach in Buleleng Regency. In Jembrana (West Bali), popular spots include Medewi Beach for surfing, Dlod Berawah Beach, Gilimanuk, West Bali National Park—famous for the endangered Bali Starling—and Ekasari Tourism Village known for its cocoa farming.

As for Banyuwangi, there are numerous destinations worth exploring, such as Ijen Crater, Alas Purwo National Park, Green Bay (Teluk Ijo), De Djawatan Forest, Tabuhan Island, Baluran National Park, Sukamade Beach, Kemiren Village, Gombengsari Village, GWD Beach, Red Island (Pulau Merah), and many more.

“To reach all these destinations, we have partnered with four fast boat operators ready to serve both domestic and international tourists,” said Sandiaga.

Currently, three types of Banyuwangi tour packages are available: Explore Banyuwangi (4 days, 3 nights), Open Trip and Private Ijen Crater Fullday Tour, Sukamade, Kalibaru, Ijen Tour (4 days, 3 nights)
